Audacity

This open source audio editing software is free yet powerful.   We will be using this in class, but you will likely also want it at home.  You can create your own audio files, edit existing audio, and save in a variety of formats:  mp3, WAV, etc.

Easybib

This free website allows you to create properly formatted citations.   Remember, if you don't create the work...you must cite it.  If you are working on a research project, your Easybib account will allow you to save your citations under the project name and add more as you go.  Then when you are ready, you can export to Word and it will alphabetize and format appropriately.  It's a priceless tool.

Quizlet

This free website allows you to study vocabulary using a variety of methods, games, test, and more.   It includes an audio feature that helps with pronunciation.   Ten minutes a day on Quizlet will make you a better speaker and speller.   I will create the sets for our class, but you may also create your own sets for other things like social studies, language arts, etc.
